Dr. Najwa Javed is a Board Certified Podiatrist and Founder of E’MAR Italy. Throughout her years of practice, she has focused on achieving an optimal state of health for her patients through mitigating foot and ankle injuries. With specialized training in foot and ankle surgery and clinical research, she integrates biomechanical stability with surgical innovation, biologic therapies, and modern science
Dr. Javed holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Ethno-Anthropology from the University of Oklahoma, a Master’s of Public Health in Biostatistics/Clinical Research with honors from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center, and a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Samuel Merritt University on a four-year scholarship. She is the recipient of the Philip Gardner Award for Excellence in Podiatric Medicine. She completed her surgical residency training program through VA Palo Alto and Stanford University consortium. Her desire for medicine stems from an injury that affected her grandmother’s health and eventual partial paralysis that took years to treat and reverse. Observing the toll it took out on her family, reiterated how important the usage of extremities is. Her curiosity about lower extremity care was further established when she sustained her own injury as a college student. Years of biomechanical retraining and biofeedback led her to Podiatric surgery. She immersed herself in her academics and research focusing on limb salvage, trauma, and biomechanics, all of which led her to where she is today. She has been an adjunct faculty professor at the VA SF residency program where she taught residents and medical students. She has been a consultant for biologic companies specializing in cryopreserved stem cells and their applications in wound healing. She is also a medical reviewer for MD Review, a leading provider of external peer review services, supporting hospitals and other healthcare organizations across the country.
